Bal Krishna Banmala (also known as Bal Krishna Maharjan) is a contemporary Nepali artist based in Kathmandu, Nepal. His work focuses on traditional and religious themes, often incorporating modern techniques and interpretations.
Notable Works
"Creator, Preserver, Destroyer" (2023): A triptych of round canvases, each 4x3 ft, depicting the Hindu trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheshvara using acrylic paint.
"The Gandharva" (2023): A 4x3x3 ft sculpture made of bronze, copper, and GI wire.
Banmala's art often explores spiritual and cultural themes, blending traditional Nepali iconography with contemporary artistic approaches. His pieces have been featured in exhibitions and collections, including the KAB 2024 showcase at the Museum of Nepali Art (MoNA)
