Hari Om Mehta is a Nepali artist based in Kathmandu. He held his third solo exhibition titled "Black Voice" at the Nepal Art Council in 2016. The exhibition focused on contemporary Nepali society and socio-political issues, including:
The Madhesh Aandolan movement and its sociocultural impacts
Dissatisfaction with the new constitution
Effects of earthquakes and blockades on Nepali society
The dowry system
Mehta's artwork aims to depict these issues through a balanced mixture of colors, providing a visual commentary on current events in Nepal. His exhibition was organized by Mithila Yain Gallery and inaugurated by Ragini Upadhyay, the chancellor of Nepal Academy of Fine Arts.
